How to change the cabin air filter on the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.2 DID 2013-2020
The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side of the car behind the glovebox. To access the filter you have to lower down the glovebox.
Mitsubishi OEM part is 7803A109.
Open the glove compartment. On the left side there is a glovebox damper.
Damper released. To release the damper just pull the lower end to the left.
Press on each side of the glowbox wall to release it from the edge. Green arrow indicates the direction to press. Do the same operation on the other side simultaneous.
The glovebox can now be lowered down to access the cabin air filer.
The cabin filter housing. Open the front cover to access the filter. The cover is attached on each side. Pull the right side first and the cover will open easily.

Replace the filter. Clean the cabin filter house from leaves etc. The flow direction is down. A filter with a flow indicator must be mounted with the arrow down. Fit the front cover, lift the glovebox up and secure the damper.
Close the glovebox and you are ready to go.
